Where to start
If you own nothing yet, read sim racing for beginners and then the first rig buying order. Between them they cover the two questions that decide whether the first purchase is a good one: what the hobby actually asks of you, and what order to spend in so nothing you buy makes something else you own unusable.
If you have hardware in boxes, go to how to build a sim racing rig for the assembly order and torque figures, then seating position to get the geometry right before you mount screens, because moving the seat later invalidates every screen angle you set.
If the rig is built and something feels wrong, the fix is usually one of three things. Feedback that feels vague or crunchy is a force feedback settings problem, most often clipping caused by too much gain. Note how many rows in the last column read "no". A large share of the improvement available to a sim racer costs nothing: a correctly set field of view, a gain figure that is not clipping, a brake saturation setting that matches your leg, and a seating position that puts the wheel where your arms want it. Work through those before buying anything, because they also change what you would buy next.
