Sim racing reference charts

8 dense specification tables, built so you can read the number and move on. Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the cell says so rather than carrying an estimate.

Why these charts exist

Almost every expensive mistake in sim racing comes from a number nobody checked. A wheelbase rated at 12 Nm bolted to a frame that flexes at 8. A 49 inch super ultrawide driven by a graphics card that can hold 60 frames at 1440p and no more. A load cell brake with a 100 kg full scale rating fitted to a stand that slides on carpet. Every one of those is a specification that was available before purchase and was not compared against the specification next to it.

So the charts here are deliberately dense. The wheelbase torque chart lists published peak torque per model next to the mounting it demands, which is the comparison that actually decides a purchase. The wheel compatibility chart puts the platform columns side by side, because console licensing is enforced in hardware and no adapter reliably works around it. The monitor size and FOV chart gives the field of view in degrees for real panel sizes at real viewing distances, so you can see that a bigger screen further away is not the upgrade it sounds like.

Two rules apply everywhere on these pages. First, a figure is only listed if the manufacturer publishes it. Logitech does not publish a newton metre rating for its gear driven wheels, so those cells read "not published" rather than repeating a number from a forum. Second, derived figures state their formula, so you can check the arithmetic rather than trusting it.

Specifications can change between hardware revisions, so confirm with the manufacturer before purchase.

The last column is the important one. A chart that fills every cell is a chart that is guessing. Manufacturers genuinely do not publish some of these figures: Logitech does not give a newton metre rating for its gear driven wheels, several pedal makers do not publish a full scale kilogram rating, and cockpit load ratings are frequently absent entirely. Those cells say so. A missing figure you can see is more useful than a confident number you cannot check.

Where a figure is derived rather than published, the formula appears on the page. Field of view comes from panel width divided by viewing distance. Brake force in newtons comes from kilograms times 9.80665. Gain comes from working torque divided by peak torque. All of them are one line of arithmetic, and printing the line is what makes a chart checkable rather than authoritative by assertion.
