1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms form an agreement between you and Cozy River Studios, which operates SimRacingCave.com. They apply to every page on simracingcave.com. We may revise them from time to time, and the version published here is the version in force. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.

2. What this site is

SimRacingCave.com publishes free reference material about sim racing hardware: buying guides, specification charts, comparison pages and planning calculators. It is an editorial and reference site. We are not a retailer. Nothing is sold here, no order is ever placed here, and no payment information is ever taken here. Purchases happen entirely on the retailer's own website, under that retailer's terms.

3. Accuracy, specifications and prices

We research published manufacturer specifications, documented figures and verified owner reviews, and we do not test gear in person. Specifications change between hardware revisions, listings change without notice, and prices change constantly. Every figure on this site is provided in good faith and without warranty of accuracy, and it is your responsibility to confirm current specifications, compatibility and pricing with the manufacturer or retailer before purchasing.

Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure, our charts say so rather than estimating. Derived figures state the formula used, so you can check the arithmetic instead of trusting it.

4. Calculators are planning tools

The calculators on this site compute estimates from the values you enter, using the formula printed on each page. They cannot know your room, your floor construction, your frame, the condition of your fasteners or the manufacturer's own limits. Where a calculator result and a manufacturer specification disagree, the manufacturer specification governs. See the disclaimer for the safety limits that apply to sim racing hardware generally.

5. Affiliate relationships

This site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may participate in other affiliate programmes. When you follow a product link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change what we recommend, and we regularly recommend the cheaper option and tell readers to skip purchases entirely. Full details are on the affiliate disclosure page.

6. Intellectual property

The text, charts, calculators, page structure and design of this site are our property or are used under licence, and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for personal use, and you may quote short passages with a visible link back to the source page. You may not republish substantial portions, scrape the site systematically, or use its content to train a commercial model without written permission.

Product names, model numbers, brand names, game titles and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and commentary only. SimRacingCave.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any manufacturer, retailer, racing series or game publisher named on this site.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site in any way that breaks the law, infringes anyone's rights, or interferes with its operation. That includes attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system, introducing malicious code, and placing an automated load on the site that degrades it for other readers.

8. External links

This site links to external websites we do not control. We provide those links for convenience and reference. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices or products of any external site. Following a link takes you outside the scope of these terms and of our privacy policy.

9. No professional advice

Nothing on this site is professional installation, engineering, structural, electrical or medical advice. Sim racing hardware carries real physical risk: a direct drive wheelbase can produce enough torque to injure a wrist or forearm, a load cell brake is routinely pushed with 25 to 45 kg of force, and rig frames, seats and monitor mounts carry real weight. Follow the manufacturer's mounting, fastener and torque specifications, and engage a qualified person for electrical work or anything attached to a wall or ceiling.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimRacingCave.com and Cozy River Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or property, arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on any information on it, including any purchase you make after reading it. Your use of this site is at your own risk.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cozy River Studios and its operators from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of this site.

12. Availability

We make no guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, including any page or calculator, at any time and without notice.

13. Severability and governing law

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
